Let me share a few words with you about my background.

I have worked in communications for almost 30 years. For 25 years I headed Austria’s largest PR agency Pleon Publico, which I acquired in a management buyout. During my Publico years the legendary Cigar Club came into being, and I worked with my team on PR activities that were to have a significant influence on life in Austria. Reference projects include:

• Repairing the image of Austrian wine after the glycol scandal
  (1985 – 1993!)
• Referendum on Austrian EU accession (initially most of the electorate were against EU membership, by the time of the referendum we achieved a two-thirds majority)
• The highly successful introduction of the euro in Austria (winning us a number of European awards)

II have handled some 40 IPOs and secondary offerings, and brought my profound knowledge of change communications processes to bear on almost a hundred crisis assignments.

In 2004 I sold my remaining stake in Publico to the international Pleon Group (70%) and my staff (30%). A few months later I founded Wolfgang Rosam Change Communications. Looking at my experience of the PR industry and my contribution to creating a market for lobbying services (begun almost 15 years ago) I concluded that the time had come for a new dimension in communications — Change Communications.
